GROUP DISCUSSIONS

DAKSHI, a leading knowledge-oriented cultural organisation, organises monthly discussions to promote and disseminate the idea of the Bharatiya Gyān Parampara, India’s rich and diverse tradition of knowledge, learning, inquiry, and cultural wisdom.
These discussions provide a meaningful platform for students, practitioners, educators, artists, and members of the public to engage with India’s intellectual heritage. Through conversations on subjects such as philosophy, literature, science, mathematics, medicine, arts, architecture, governance, ecology, spirituality, and social thought, DAKSHI seeks to reconnect contemporary society with the foundational ideas and living traditions of Bharatiya knowledge systems.

DAKSHI Pāthasālā

DAKSHI Pāthasālā is a continuous learning initiative conducted through the study of books. It provides participants with an opportunity to read and understand important texts through a structured learning process.The Pāthasālā covers selected and widely studied books, followed by a test after each book to assess participants’ understanding. Certificates are awarded to participants upon completion of the respective study.So far, DAKSHI Pāṭhaśālā has covered Tattva Bodha by Ādi Guru Śaṅkarācārya and the Śrīmad Bhagavad Gītā. The current text being studied is the Īśāvāsya Upaniṣad.Through this initiative, DAKSHI aims to encourage regular reading, deeper understanding and engagement with India’s intellectual and philosophical traditions

COMPETITIONS

Dakshi organizes monthly competitions aimed at promoting the Indian knowledge systems and encouraging students to explore and read ancient Indian scriptures. These competitions serve as a platform for young minds to engage actively with India's rich cultural heritage and knowledge traditions. Through these events, participants get an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Indian scriptures and showcase their learning. The competitions are designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of appreciation for India's ancient wisdom. By regularly conducting such activities, Dakshi aims to nurture a culture of inquiry and research among the youth, thereby helping to preserve and propagate India's ancient knowledge.

COLLABORATIONS

Dakshi & DULF

DAKSHI organized Literature Festival in collaboration with DU LIT FEST held in the month of February at Sri Ram College of Commerce. The festival is dedicated to the Knowledge Systems, and several speaker Sessions was organized under the Flag. DAKSHI collaborated as Society Partner in many of the Sessions.

DAKSHI & International Centre for Cultural Studies

DAKSHI in collaboration with ICCS has organized several international lectures on the Various Ancient Civilizations of the World.

DAKSHI & Hindu (Book Launching)

The book "The Great Conciliator: Lal Bahadur Shastri and the Transformation of India" by Dr. Sanjeev Chopra was launched on December 4, 2025, at Hindu College, Delhi, organized by DAKSH with partners like Rashtram School of Public Leadership, Bloomsbury Collections, and Bunyad Foundation. The event had a panel with Dr. Chopra, Dr. Swapan Dasgupta, Neerja Chowdhury, and Chandrachur Ghosh, who talked about Shastri’s life and leadership. Students, teachers, and the public joined and asked questions. The launch was a chance to learn about Shastri and discuss India’s history and leadership.

Academic Collaboration: DAKSHI Trust × PWHC

DAKSHI Trust successfully collaborated with the Puducherry World History Congress (PWHC) through the Academic Chair, “History through Indic Perspectives.”The Chair brought together research papers on Ancient, Medieval, Modern, and Contemporary World History, encouraging academic engagement with Indic perspectives.The collaboration was held during the 4th Annual Session of PWHC in Mysuru, Karnataka, on 25–26 July 2026.

Dakshi integrates academic research with cultural exploration through field visits to iconic heritage sites like Mahakaleshwar Temple, Qutub Complex, Dwarkadhish Temple, Ajanta – Ellora, Barsana and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum. Members engage in heritage walks, architectural studies, cultural participation and documentation of ancient Indian science, art and spirituality. Each visit blends scholarship with devotion - culminating in symbolic offerings, research presentations and on-site learning that reconnects modern academia with India’s timeless heritage.

DAKSHI LECTURES

Through these lectures, from renowned speakers and scholars, we aim to promote both analytical and critical thinking, as well as their application to our modern environment. As a result, society would better understand its past and be able to determine its future, according to the movement. Our objective is to promote or conserve culture through logic, that is if we follow something we should have the knowledge regarding the same and the Logics in favour of the thing which we follow or spread.
