The Journal of DAKSHI

ABOUT THE JOURNAL

DAKSHI is a dynamic and pioneering movement dedicated to the re-awakening, celebration, and dissemination of Bharatiya Jñāna Paramparā. India's profound and timeless knowledge systems. We serve as a vibrant, living bridge, striving to bring the ancient wisdom of the Vedas, Upanishads, Shastras, and other classical traditions into meaningful dialogue with the modern world.

This initiative is not just an academic journal but a curated collection of diverse intellectual and artistic expressions. It encompasses research papers, essays, articles, book reviews, adhyaya reviews, short notes, alongside digital prints, posters, and event chronicles. DAKSHI is a celebration of diversity in thought and form, designed to reclaim intellectual self-confidence and inspire a global reawakening of Indian knowledge.

Through grounded scholarship and fresh perspectives, we invite readers and contributors to explore the depth and dynamism of the indigenous frameworks that have guided Indian civilization for millennia.

Aims and Scope

DAKSHI is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal launched to provide a dedicated platform for work in the field of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). Our core objectives are to:

  • Promote the understanding and application of IKS across a wide spectrum of fields including philosophy, science, arts, governance, ecology, and wellness.

  • Encourage original scholarship rooted in primary Indian texts in Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Tamil, and other classical languages, while also welcoming critical modern engagement.

  • Foster interdisciplinary dialogue, connecting traditions like Vedānta, Yoga, Ayurveda, and Arthashastra with contemporary global challenges and solutions.

  • Revive civilizational wisdom to inspire pride, responsibility, and constructive action among the youth, academics, and changemakers.

  • Support the integration of IKS into modern educational, governmental, and social institutions through case studies and pedagogical insights.

We invite contributions from scholars, practitioners, students, artists, and all truth-seekers committed to the renaissance of Bharatiya Jñāna Paramparā in both thought and practice.
